Eligibility Criteria for MBBS in India Age Requirement:

  • There is no upper age limit is 25 years,.

Academic Qualification:

  • Candidates must have completed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects.

NEET Domicile Requirements in East & Northeast India

For students hailing from East and Northeast India, understanding domicile requirements is essential for obtaining state quota seats.

Domicile Rules Overview Assam:

  • The candidate or their parent(s) must have resided in Assam continuously for a minimum of 20 years.
  • AND The candidate must have completed their education in Assam from Class 7 to Class 12.
Arunachal Pradesh
  • 80% of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Arunachal Pradesh Schedule Tribe (APST).
  • 20% of seats are reserved for Non-APST candidates who have studied in the state for at least 3 years.
Meghalaya
  • The candidate must be a resident permanent /domicile of one of the 8 North-Eastern states, including Sikkim.
  • The candidate should have finished Class 11 and 12 or an equivalent from any recognized institution in India.
Manipur
  • Only those who are permanent residents or domicile holders of Manipur can benefit from the 85% state quota reservation for NEET admissions
Mizoram
  • Candidates must be Indian nationals and permanent residents or domicile holders of Mizoram to qualify for the state quota reservation in NEET admissions in Mizoram.
Tripura
  • Permanent residents of Tripura must have lived there for at least 10 years.
  • Children of All India Services Officers in the Tripura cadre.
  • Candidates whose parents are Central/State Government employees on deputation to Tripura for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Candidates or their parents who are ex-servicemen and have resided in Tripura for 5 years.
  • Children of Defense Personnel from Tripura who have lived in the state for at least 5 years.
Bihar
  • The candidate’s parents must be residents of Bihar or government employees assigned to Bihar.
West Bengal
  • Candidates or their parents must have resided in West Bengal for a minimum of 10 years.
Odisha

Jharkhand
